Speech by Foreign Minister Westerwelle: „Freedom of religion and belief from the foreign policy angle“
As part of the Berlin Talks on Religion and Politics, Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle is to give a keynote address entitled „Freedom of religion and belief from the foreign policy angle“ on Tuesday (11 June) in the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The speech will be followed by a discussion with Prof. Rolf Schieder from the university and the audience.
The series of lectures sponsored by the Haniel Foundation entitled Berlin Talks on Religion and Politics was launched in 2005. The religion and politics research area of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin now organizes events once a quarter to help people realize the urgency of thinking about religion and politics and taking action. To date, 15 speakers have looked at different aspects of religion and society including politicians, constitutional court judges, writers and journalists.
