Minister of State Link to meet French Minister for Europe Cazeneuve in Strasbourg

Michael Georg Link, Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office and Commissioner for Franco-German Cooperation, will meet the French Minister Delegate for European Affairs, Bernard Cazeneuve, in Strasbourg tomorrow (7 December).

After exchanging views in the German Consulate-General in the morning, Link and Cazeneuve will sign the city’s Golden Book at Strasbourg town hall and have lunch there with the mayor of Strasbourg, Roland Ries, and prominent politicians from the Franco-German border region.

Their talks will focus on the successful Franco-German cooperation at regional level, the preparations for Franco-German Day on 22 January as part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the Élysée Treaty, as well as current European issues in the run-up to the European Council on 13 and 14 December.
