Foreign Minister Steinmeier on the decision by Turkey to permit Members of the German Bundestag to visit Incirlik Airbase
Foreign Minister Steinmeier issued the following statement in Berlin today (8 September) on the decision by Turkey to permit Members of the German Bundestag to visit Incirlik Airbase:
I welcome the fact that the Turkish Government has now agreed to the plans of the Defence Committee of the German Bundestag for a trip to the country.Our elected representatives must be able to visit our parliamentary army. With this decision of the Turkish Government, we have made some progress.
