We congratulate Hadi al Bahra on his election as President of the Syrian National Coalition. As the chief negotiator of the Syrian opposition in the Geneva peace talks, Mr al Bahra earned great respect. In his new function, Mr al Bahra is again taking on the difficult task of opening up new ways towards finding a political solution in Syria.

Through the Syria Recovery Trust Fund, the German Government supports the National Coalition in its efforts to make sure people in the territories given up by the regime receive supplies.
