This year’s Ambassadors Conference will take place from 26 to 29 August with “Europe in the World” as its motto.
In times of globalisation, Germany can only stand up for its interests and values in an efficient and sustainable way if it joins forces with its European partners. A stable Europe with the capacity to act can be a strong international partner.
Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle will open the conference on Monday (26 August) together with Dr Jens Weidmann, the President of the German Federal Bank.
The Business Forum on Tuesday (27 August) will be opened by Foreign Minister Westerwelle and Prof. Martin Winterkorn, the Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG.
Many high-level representatives of the fields of politics, business and culture will be guests of the four-day conference.
In more than 70 forums and workshops, the Ambassadors will discuss European policy issues and topics pertaining to the future with experts from Germany and abroad.
