Minister of State Michael Georg Link, along with the President of the German Association for Eastern European Studies (DGO), Prof. Rita Süssmuth, will be opening a conference marking the DGO’s 100th anniversary. The event entitled “1913 TransNational: the changing eastern Europe 2013” begins at the Federal Foreign Office on 7 March.

Prof. Karl Schlögel will then deliver a lecture on “A changing eastern Europe – when and why has research into eastern Europe been carried out in Germany?”
