On Wednesday, 23 November at 5 p.m., Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle will address the participants of the conference “Latin America on the move” in the House of World Cultures.
The conference, which is being jointly organized by the Ibero-American Institute and the House of World Cultures, will look at the major changes taking place in Latin America and the Caribbean as well as the future prospects of the region from various angles. The topics of discussion will cover a broad range of issues, from economic, political and cultural questions to sustainability and social change.
The conference thus addresses the new priorities set by the Federal Government in its relations with Latin America and the Caribbean. As early as August 2010, the Federal Government adopted a new and comprehensive Strategy on Latin America and the Caribbean which lent a new dimension to relations with this key partner region.
