Sixth Arab-European Human Rights Dialogue

From 11 to 13 May the Sixth Arab-European Human Rights Dialogue of the National Human Rights Institutions will be taking place at the Federal Foreign Office. The conference will focus on the topic of preventing torture.

The conference will be opened by Professor Beate Rudolf, Director of the German Institute for Human Rights, and Muhyieddeen Touq, Director of the National Centre for Human Rights in Jordan. Leading representatives of the international human rights protection community will speak on torture prevention. Among them are the President of the Council of Europe anti-torture Committee, Latif Hüseynov, and Liza Sekaggya from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. In addition, Sayed Torbey will present the perspective of the Arab League.
