Foreign ministers meet to discuss disarmament and non-proliferation
On Saturday Foreign Minister Westerwelle will host a meeting in Berlin of the group known as “Friends of the Non-Proliferation Treaty”.
His guests will include the foreign ministers of Japan, Australia, Mexico, the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates as well as representatives of Chile, Canada, Poland and Turkey.
The group of “Friends of the Non-Proliferation Treaty” was established in September 2010. It brings together countries in different parts of the world which are keen to support international efforts aimed at promoting disarmament and non-proliferation.
On the margins of the conference Foreign Minister Westerwelle will hold bilateral talks with his opposite numbers from the Netherlands, Australia, Japan and Mexico.
