Federal Minister Westerwelle deeply concerned about events in Bahrain
In reaction to the worrying events in Bahrain, Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle issued the following statement today (18 February):
“I am deeply concerned about the news from Bahrain. The right of citizens to peacefully exercise their freedom to demonstrate and to express opinions must be guaranteed. Any further escalation must be avoided.”
