Germany supports the work of the joint investigation team (JIT) in probing the shooting down of flight MH17. Yesterday the JIT announced that a court case will begin in the Netherlands soon and presented further findings. This is an important step in investigating and coming to termes with this terrible act, which killed 298 people.

The German Government has supported the work of the JIT from the outset, in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2166. Russia is called upon to cooperate constructively in further efforts in this process.
