Foreign Minister Maas in quarantine
A Federal Foreign Office Spokesperson issued the following statement in Berlin today (4 November):
Today, following a meeting with Foreign Minister Heiko Maas and Minister of State Michael Roth on Monday evening, a member of a foreign delegation was diagnosed with COVID‑19. The Federal Foreign Office was informed today.
Foreign Minister Maas, Minister of State Roth and the members of staff involved are following official medical orders to self-isolate. Foreign Minister Maas will once again spend his quarantine in a house in Brandenburg. An initial PCR test today was negative. The affected persons have been informed.
The rules on distancing, hygiene measures and face coverings were observed at the meeting.
