Foreign Minister Heiko Maas will depart for Lithuania on Friday morning. In Palanga, he will meet Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Antanas Linkevičius for bilateral talks. Talks with all three Baltic Ministers of Foreign Affairs are also scheduled.
The Baltic states are important like-minded partners whose pro-European voice we need more than ever in order to make the EU even better able to act in the future. Europe will therefore be an important focus of the talks alongside bilateral issues. Regional cooperation and the region’s security interests will also play an important role at the meetings.
