A Federal Foreign Office Spokesperson issued the following statement today (11 February) on the telephone call between Foreign Minister Heiko Maas and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov:
Foreign Minister Maas today phoned Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to talk about the situation in Libya. The issues discussed included the ongoing negotiations in New York on the text of a Security Council resolution concerning the decisions of the Berlin Conference on Libya and the planned meeting of the International Follow-Up Committee on Libya this coming Sunday. Both ministers welcomed the successful start of the 5+5 military talks between the Libyan parties to the conflict.
