The news we heard from London during the night was terrible. We extend our profound sympathy and utmost solidarity to the people of the United Kingdom. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and everyone in this wonderful and courageous city. We wish those injured a swift and full recovery.

Once again, the United Kingdom has been hit by terror – and once again, the attack targeted people who simply wanted to have an enjoyable evening.

We stand resolutely shoulder to shoulder with our British friends. We do not yet know all the background to the attack, but one thing is already clear – the brutality and perfidy of such crimes cannot be justified in any way.
