The murderous attack on a shrine in Pakistan demonstrates, once again, the IS terrorists’ contempt for human dignity and life, as well as their hatred for centuries-old Islamic traditions. Countless people were brutally murdered and many others seriously wounded while taking part in a religious ceremony. We strongly condemn this is horrendous and hideous crime. It is therefore all the more important to ensure that the terrorists’ plan to divide Pakistan’s society is not allowed to succeed. Our thoughts are with the victims of this attack and their families at this terrible time.
