Foreign Minister Steinmeier issued the following statement today (9 June) on the terrorist attack in Tel Aviv yesterday:
We condemn in the strongest possible terms last night’s murderous attack in Tel Aviv against people who were out enjoying the evening peacefully in restaurants and cafés. Our thoughts are with our Israeli friends and the families of the victims. Murder and terrorism are never justified. Under no circumstances can they be used as a means for political confrontation. Those who excuse such acts make themselves complicit in the murders of innocent people and in the political blockade.
