Federal Foreign Office condemns apparent murder of Croatian hostage by ISIS
A Federal Foreign Office Spokesperson issued the following statement in Berlin on 12 August on the apparent murder of a Croatian hostage by ISIS terrorists in Egypt:
We must now assume that ISIS terrorists have abducted and viciously murdered another innocent person. Our thoughts are with Tomislav Salopek’s family and with our Croatian friends.
This despicable act shows once again that ISIS’s fanatic ideology poses a threat to all of us. We will continue working with our partners to do everything we can to drive ISIS back, not only on the military, but above all on the political level.
