Statement by Foreign Minister Steinmeier on the attack in France
Foreign Minister Steinmeier issued the following statement today (26 June) following the attack in the French city of Saint-Quentin-Fallavier:
We are hearing shocking reports from France about a brutal murder and an attack that has injured several people. We condemn this act of terror and fanaticism in the strongest possible terms. We extend our deepest sympathies to the families of the victims, and stand united with France in defending our free society against the blind hatred of terror.
