It is good that the Security Council made a clear statement on the situation in Yemen yesterday. The transition process in Yemen has reached a critical juncture. It is essential for all groups, including the Houthis to participate constructively in this process.

Important reforms have already been implemented. This is a precondition for improving the economic, humanitarian and thus also the security situation in Yemen. The German Government will continue to support the transition process in Yemen.
