Foreign Minister Steinmeier shocked by news of Guido Westerwelle’s serious illness
Foreign Minister Steinmeier issued the following statement in Istanbul today (20 June):
I was deeply shocked to hear the news that Guido Westerwelle is seriously ill. Speaking also on behalf of all the staff of the Federal Foreign Office, I wish him the strength to fight this disease and sincerely hope he will make a rapid and complete recovery.
