Visit by the UN Secretary-General and constituent meeting of the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB)
On Thursday 30 January 2014 Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier will host UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon for talks in the Federal Foreign Office.
The meeting will focus on the role of the United Nations in solving ongoing conflicts around the world, such as in Syria and on the African continent.
Another topic will be the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), newly established on the initiative of the UN Secretary-General as an interface between the spheres of science and politics in dealing with issues of sustainable development.
The Board’s 26 members will meet in the Federal Foreign Office’s Weltsaal as of 10.30 a.m. for their constituent meeting.
