On 4 September 2013 Foreign Minister Westerwelle will give a speech on the situation in Europe to open a high level conference in Berlin organised by the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK).
The conference, entitled “Neue Chance Europa” (Europe – new chance), will focus primarily on economic development. What is Europe’s position just now? How well is it succeeding in overcoming the economic crisis? And what are the prospects for the future? Particular attention will be paid both to Germany’s image in the countries hardest hit by the crisis and to the concrete contribution being made by German companies there.
The conference will take place in the House of German Business in Berlin on Wednesday, 4 September 2013 from 11.00 a.m. till 1.00 p.m.
