Foreign Minister Westerwelle meets First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine
Foreign Minister Westerwelle is meeting Serhiy Arbuzov, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, at the Federal Foreign Office on 31 July 2013.
Their talks will focus on Ukraine’s relations with Germany and with the European Union, in the run-up to the Eastern Partnership Summit to be held in Vilnius this autumn.
The Eastern Partnership was established in 2009, and Ukraine is, by population, its largest participant. The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Leonid Kozhara, visited Berlin on 2 July, after Foreign Minister Westerwelle had been in Kyiv on 21 June for talks with representatives of the Government and the Opposition.
