At the invitation of Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger, Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle will take part in the meeting of German-speaking foreign ministers in Salzburg on Friday afternoon (26 July). His other interlocutors in these four-way talks will be Didier Burkhalter of Switzerland and Ms Aurelia C.K. Frick of Liechtenstein.
The informal meeting, the second of its kind after the opener in Vaduz last year, will focus on European issues of mutual interest, cooperation within international organizations such as the UN, the Council of Europe and the OSCE, as well as current international issues.
In the evening, the Ministers will attend the opening of the Salzburg Festival.
