Federal Foreign Minister Westerwelle appalled by attack on Mohamed Brahmi in Tunis
Federal Foreign Minister Westerwelle issued the following statement today (25 July) on the attack on Tunisian opposition politician Mohamed Brahmi:
I am appalled by the assassination of opposition politician Mohamed Brahmi in Tunis today. Political acts of violence are unacceptable in any form.
This violent crime, like the murder of Chokri Belaid, must be cleared up as soon as possible and the perpetrators brought to justice.
I appeal to all political stakeholders in the country to remember their responsibility for the new Tunisia’s young democracy, even at this difficult time.
