Foreign Minister Westerwelle meets Turkish Foreign Minister Davutoğlu
A Federal Foreign Office spokesperson issued the following statement today (22 June) on the fringe of the meeting of foreign ministers of the core group of the Friends of the Syrian People in Doha:
“Foreign Minister Westerwelle and Turkey’s Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu met for a long conversation in Doha today on the sidelines of the foreign ministers meeting there.
The discussion took place in a constructive and friendly atmosphere. The two Ministers engaged in an intense exchange of views marked by a spirit of partnership and friendship, covering various matters including current issues in EU‑Turkish relations as well as bilateral relations.”
