The German Government condemns the attacks in the strongest possible terms. Dozens of people have lost their lives or suffered injuries as a result of the violence.
The Federal Government also condemns the missile attacks on Camp Liberty in Baghdad, where many members of the People’s Mujahedin of Iran are living. The Iraqi Government must urgently ensure the safety of those living in the camp.
Acts of terrorism and violence must not be allowed to hinder the intra-Iraqi reconciliation process. We call upon all political forces in Iraq to work together for a better future for their country and to pursue the path of dialogue.
