On Wednesday (19 September) South Africa’s Foreign Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane will open a regional conference of South African Ambassadors in Europe, which is this year being held in Berlin. On Tuesday, Minister Nkoana-Mashabane was in Brussels with President Jacob G. Zuma for the 5th EU-South Africa Summit.
Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle took the opportunity to invite his colleague to the Federal Foreign Office for a working dinner. The meeting will focus on the EU-South Africa Summit and on the upcoming United Nations General Assembly. The two Foreign Ministers will also discuss current developments in Syria and the situation in eastern Congo.
