Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle will tomorrow (25 January) mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and Australia by welcoming Australian Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd to Berlin for political talks.

Along with the further expansion of bilateral relations, regional policy issues and international topics will also be on the ministers’ agenda. These issues include recent developments in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region as well as international sanctions against Iran, the change underway in Myanmar and cooperation in Afghanistan.
