Foreign Minister Westerwelle on the death of four French ISAF soldiers in Afghanistan
Foreign Minister Westerwelle issued the following statement in Washington today (20 January) on the death of four French soldiers in Afghanistan:
“I was deeply shocked to learn about the death of four French soldiers. At this difficult time, our grief and our sympathy go out to the French people and in particular to the friends and loved ones of the soldiers killed.
Such tragic setbacks must not be allowed to undermine our resolve and determination to bring about peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan.”
