“The German Government is gravely concerned by the latest escalation of violence in the north of Kosovo. Violent assaults by Serbian extremists on military personnel serving with KFOR, the multinational Kosovo Force, are unacceptable. Belgrade would do well to issue a clear warning to those responsible for the outbreak of violence. KFOR and EULEX are doing the job in Kosovo that they are mandated to perform. Solutions must be found in the context of the EU-mediated dialogue process between Belgrade and Pristina.”
