Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle sent condolences to his Kenyan counterpart Moses Wetang’ula following a pipeline explosion which is said to have claimed more than one hundred lives. The telegram reads as follows:
“I was shocked and saddened to learn about the terrible accident in Nairobi which claimed so many lives.
Permit me to convey to you and your fellow Kenyans my sincere condolences. Our thoughts go out to the families and friends of the victims of this tragedy. I wish the many injured a speedy recovery.”
