Federal Foreign Minister Westerwelle expresses his condolences following the plane crash in Morocco
After the crash of a military plane yesterday, Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle sent a letter of condolence to his Moroccan counterpart Taieb Fassi Fihri.
In the letter he wrote the following:
“I was greatly shocked and saddened by the news of the plane crash in southern Morocco taking the lives of so many passengers and injuring others, some severely.
On behalf of the German Government, I would like to convey my sincere condolences and profound sympathy to you and the citizens of the Kingdom of Morocco. At this difficult time our thoughts are with those who have lost friends and loved ones. We wish the injured a speedy recovery.”
Most of the plane’s passengers were killed in the crash. The death toll is expected to be over 70. The accident happened yesterday morning in southern Morocco.
