Federal Minister Westerwelle condemns attack in Afghanistan
Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle has issued the following statement in response to the attack perpetrated in Azra in the Afghan province of Logar today (25 June):
“I am horrified and utterly appalled at this barbarous attack on a civilian hospital. My deepest sympathy goes out to the injured and to all those who have lost loved ones. This horrific act demonstrates a complete lack of respect for humanity. It targeted innocent people: the sick, women and children.”
According to reports which have emerged so far, the attack on a hospital in Azra resulted in numerous deaths and injuries. There is no indication as yet as to who was behind the attack.
