Federal Minister Westerwelle expresses his condolences following the plane crash in Russia
Following the crash of a Russian passenger aircraft near the city of Petrozavodsk, which cost the lives of many people, Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle sent a letter of condolence to his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov today (21 June). The letter read as follows:
“I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear of the plane crash near the city of Petrozavodsk, in which so many people lost their lives and many more were injured.
I would like to express my sincere condolences and profound sympathy to you, your Government and the people of Russia. At this difficult time our thoughts are with those who have lost friends and loved ones. We wish those injured a speedy recovery.”
