The Federal Foreign Office Spokesperson would like to announce the following personnel decisions by Federal Minister Westerwelle:

Ambassador Hans-Dieter Lucas, currently the German Ambassador to the European Union’s Political and Security Committee, is to succeed Emily Haber to become the new Political Director at the Federal Foreign Office.

Among other places, Ambassador Lucas has served the Federal Foreign Office in Moscow, Washington and Brussels.
