Human Rights Commissioner Löning in the US
During his US trip (6 – 17 February), Markus Löning, the Federal Government Commissioner for Human Rights Policy and Humanitarian Aid at the Federal Foreign Office, is finding out more about the current debate on the death penalty, the execution of sentences, the penal system, migration and other issues. He will be visiting California, New Mexico, Texas and Georgia.
At the end of his trip, the Human Rights Commissioner will have talks in Washington on the prospects for German-American cooperation on international human rights protection.
