Federal Foreign Minister Westerwelle condemns attack at Moscow airport
In a suicide bomb attack at Moscow airport, 35 persons were killed and many others injured. Federal Foreign Minister Westerwelle condemned the callous attack in the strongest terms. Federal Chancellor Merkel offered condolences to Russia's President Medvedev.
Foreign Minister Westerwelle issued the following statement today (24 January) in reaction to the suicide bomb blast at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport:
“I was shocked to learn of the attack at a Moscow airport, in which so many people lost their lives.
I condemn this callous attack in the strongest terms. There is absolutely no justification for this barbaric act.
I would like to express our heartfelt sympathy to the friends and families of the victims and to wish all those injured a speedy recovery.”
