On Wednesday, 12 January, Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle is to meet Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini at the Federal Foreign Office as part of the German-Italian intergovernmental consultations.

The Ministers will discuss current issues on the European and international agendas, as well as the economic momentum in the euro area.

This evening Foreign Minister Frattini and his wife Stella Coppi-Frattini will be guests of honour at the Federal Foreign Minister’s New Year concert in the Federal Foreign Office Weltsaal. The event is not open to the press.
