The exhibition “The Wall: A Border Through Germany” will be opened on Tuesday (11 January) by Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle together with Rainer Eppelmann, chairman of the board of trustees of the Foundation for the Study of the SED Dictatorship, and Kai Diekmann, editor-in-chief of BILD.
2011 will see the 50th anniversary of the building of the Berlin Wall on 13 August 1961. The Foundation for the Study of the SED Dictatorship and the newspapers BILD and Die Welt have joined forces to mount a special anniversary exhibition consisting of 20 large-scale posters. The curators are Sven Felix Kellerhoff (Die Welt) and Ralf Georg Reuth (BILD).
The exhibition will be on view in the Atrium of the Federal Foreign Office until 28 January.
