Federal Minister Westerwelle sends condolences following plane crash in Iran
Following yesterday’s IranAir plane crash near the north-western Iranian city of Orumiyeh, which claimed dozens of lives, Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle today (10 January) sent a message of condolence to his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi.
The message read as follows:
“I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of yesterday’s airplane accident, which took the lives of so many.
Permit me to extend my sincere condolences and profound sympathy to you and to the Iranian people. We grieve with the families and friends of those who have perished, and I wish those who have been injured a speedy recovery.”
