Federal Minister Westerwelle shocked and saddened by deaths in Phnom Penh
Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle issued the following statement today on the mass panic yesterday in the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh:
“We are shocked and saddened by this accident and the loss of so many lives. At this difficult time, we extend our condolences and deepest sympathy to the families and friends of the victims.”
According to a spokesperson for the Cambodian Government, at least 375 people lost their lives in the stampede yesterday in Phnom Penh.
