The situation of non-governmental organizations and homosexual rights activists were high on the agenda of Markus Löning, Federal Government Commissioner for Human Rights Policy and Humanitarian Aid at the Federal Foreign Office, on his first visit to Moscow. As an observer Löning also attended the ongoing trial in the city of Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev.

Markus Löning will host a press conference on these issues on Tuesday (28 September) from 10.00 to 11.00 h in the Federal Foreign Office press briefing room.
