Following the Pakistani plane crash near Islamabad in which many people were killed, Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle today (28 July) sent a letter of condolence to his Pakistani opposite number Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi. The letter reads as follows:

”I was shocked and saddened to hear about the crash of an Air Blue aircraft near Islamabad today which claimed so many lives.

Permit me to express to you and the families of the victims my profound condolences.“
