Federal Minister Westerwelle sends messages of condolence following the plane crash in Tripoli

Following the Libyan plane crash at Tripolis airport in which over 100 passengers died, including many from the Netherlands, Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle today (12 May) sent messages of condolence to Libyan Foreign Minister Musa Mohamed Kusa and Netherlands Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen expressing his shock and deep sorrow over the tragedy.

In this difficult hour, he wrote, our thoughts are with the victims and all those who have lost friends and loved ones. Federal Minister Westerwelle offered the people of Libya and the people of the Netherlands his condolences and profound sympathy.
