Westerwelle welcomes Srebrenica resolution passed by the Serbian parliament
Today (31 March), Serbia’s parliament passed a resolution condemning the murder of some 8000 Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslims) during the Srebrenica massacre. Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle today greeted the resolution by issuing the following statement:
“I welcome the resolution passed by the Serbian parliament. Serbian politics has taken a courageous first step towards facing up to its own past. The resolution marks an important victory for the moderate and pro-European forces in Serbia.”
