Attack on World Vision office in Pakistan

Commenting on the attack on an office of the international aid organization World Vision in Pakistan, Günter Nooke, Federal Government Commissioner for Human Rights Policy and Humanitarian Aid at the Federal Foreign Office, issued the following statement:

I am deeply distressed about the attack on the World Vision office in Pakistan. I am saddened about the death of five people who were working for peace and development in Pakistan – for the benefit of the people there, as well as for our benefit.“

According to the latest reports, five local staff members were killed in the attack in north-west Pakistan.

Günter Nooke also serves on the board of trustees of the German branch of World Vision.
