Federal Minister Westerwelle and his Turkish counterpart Davutoglu open the Exhibition “Türckische Cammer” in Dresden

On Saturday (6 March), Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu will join Mr Stanislaw Tillich, Minister-President of the Free State of Saxony, and Martin Roth, Director-General of the Dresden State Art Collections, to open the Exhibition “Türckische Cammer”.

This also marks the Dresden State Art Collections’ opening of a new collection in the Residenzschloss (Dresden Royal Palace) – the “Türckische Cammer” (Turkish Chamber) – as part of the Armoury. This unique collection contains Ottoman and Oriental-style Art. It is the most extensive collection of its kind in Germany and will be displayed in a permanent exhibition for the first time since the Second World War.
