Commenting on the agreement reached today (11 February), Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle issued the following statement in Berlin:

”I welcome the agreement reached by the CDU (Christian Democratic Union of Germany) and FDP (Free Democratic Party) parliamentary leaders today. Having the German Bundestag elect the members of the supervisory board in future ensures that foreign policy interests will be taken into account and also creates transparency.“
